Introduction to Wholehearted LIving Series
Introduction
This Blog is based on the learnings I have gained from several sources. 1) The Bible and The Bible app 2) Gifts of Imperfection, by Brene' Brown, 3) The Seven Decisions, by Andy Andrews, 4) Self-love Workbook for Women, Megan Logan and other resources.
The links to resources I have used to create daily and weekly reminders on my google.com calendar:

A few years ago, I decided I needed to be more purposeful about how I live my life. (Most likely in response to Sunday teachings from Cypress Meadows Church, and reading the resources listed above.) So I created weekly reminders of the 10 Guideposts for Wholehearted Living from Brene' Brown on my google calendar. I copied the summary from the link above for each week for 10 weeks and repeated them every 10 weeks. Then after reading Andy Andrews, Seven Decisions, I started on Monday and created a reminder for one decision on each day of the week: for example, Monday: Responsible Decision and chose a Bible verse for each of the 7 decisions. I wrote each of these weekly and daily reminders in my daytimer, too.
Last summer (2021), I completed the Self-Love Workbook for Women with one of my friends. Then I made another note in my google calendar and my Day Timer. I chose 31 daily affirmations and added them to both of my calendars.
In the fall of 2021, I decided to be more persistent and purposeful in reading the Bible. So I chose a plan for reading the Bible in a year using the Bible App. I have read the Bible through from Genesis to Revelation a few times, but it was tedious and seriously taxing for me to maintain the practice. So I chose to use the Bible App. I am using the Bible in One Year with Nicky Gumbel. I recommend it for a couple of reasons that helped me...1) Each day has a theme based on the Bible passages that you read. The introductory reading gives background and further understanding, 2) the plan moves from Psalms & Proverbs to the New Testament to the Old Testament and 3) there is the option of listening to the entire reading plan for the day.
As I go through my daily and weekly reminders and reading plans I jot down or copy things that remind me to keep my focus. That is what I share on the blog each day. You can utilize this any way that works for you.
