I get on my knees by Jaci Velasquez
On Saturday, I tested COVID-19 positive. This is my first infection and am praying it is mild. 5 of us leave for Kenya to visit Springs of Hope Kenya on Monday, July 4th. So there were already travel concerns with the number of flight cancellations that have become common. Please pray that United 829 and 8729 run without delay and with safety. We will have about 7 days with the kids who are on a week long break from school while we are there. Pray that God will use us to be His hands and feet of love, grace and connection.Now I am asking for prayer for our team: Douglas, Tracy, Donna, Alana and me. Pray for health for all of us, that no one else gets sick and I have a quick recovery, quick transition to the 7 hour time change and the higher altitude of Nakuru. I am asking God to use this trip to expand our imaginations and to draw us close to Him. We are going to read the book, Love Does by Bob Goff. You can join us by reading the book in July. We are going to complete the Love Does Devotional from Bible App, too.
Please pray with us for continuing financial support of Springs of Hope Kenya. There are always needs. Currently $5000 is needed for school fees and supplies to send the kids back to school. The wooden playground is about 12 years old and is no longer safe. A new play area costs about $14,000.
