Joy

Affirmation: I am kind to myself. I allow myself to slow down and enjoy life.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

5.The Joyful Decision (Andy Andrews)
“TODAY I WILL CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY.
Happiness is a choice. I am enthusiastic about each day. I am alert to its possibilities.
I will become the master of my emotions.
I will greet each day with laughter. I know that enthusiasm is the fuel that moves the world.”

Cultivate your creativity today. Let go of comparison.
You are creative…you were made in the image of our Creative God. Creativity is hereditary!😍 When you are being creative (drawing, painting, writing, singing, playing an instrument, cooking, building , decorating, sewing, building, planting…), it brings joy. You are being kind to yourself. You enjoy life.
You are reflecting the creativity of God, our creator.

Note from Jacque:
Douglas, my husband, often says, “If it is truth, it is God’s truth.”
As I read the books and the research the authors are using for their insights, I have noticed over and over that the most powerful learning I get from the book is the truth that has existed since the beginning of time. For example, the daily affirmations. You find that most of them are based on wisdom that is found in the Bible. Brené Brown’s research brought out the 10 Guideposts for Wholeheartedness. Each of the Guideposts reflect God’s Truth about life…what to cultivate and what to let go of. Andy Andrews’s 7 Decisions reflect godly wisdom found in the Old snd New Testaments. James Clear’s Atomic Habits and Adam Grant’s book Think Again, also reflect Gods truth. Because all truth is God’s Truth.

As I go through my daily clalendar reminders and do my Bible reading and prayer time, I am continuously in awe of how the insight of these various writers dovetail together.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Seek truth. Be joyful.

  1. Yes. This is so true. Happiness really is a choice. Our response to anything is a choice. God's truth is truth because He can only tell the truth. Our human-ness sometimes twists God's truth to suit our selfish purposes. In my opinion, those circumstances make our human view a lie but God's truth is still truth. This is the reason we must continue to ask why so that we can see and understand the truth.
