December 18 The Future Version of You is Better

Affirmation: I accept my fears and doubts and move forward anyway.

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:27)
Worry will discourage us to take even the smallest step. In many cases, it’s not that God’s unable to perform miracles rather it’s us who refuse to take that one small step needed to be the starting point for God’s miracle.
*******Ponder, Personalize, Practice: Personalize  this command from God. Each day you meet people…those people are your neighbors. Some live near you, work with you, some are family, some are friends, some are strangers. Love them as you love yourself. Talk to God about that today.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

GET INSPIRED

The definition of courage in this course is sharing your story with your whole heart. Feel free to share the ways that you like to express yourself through laughter, song and dance. I want you to post your authenticity playlist, your album cover and/or other fun ways you like to let loose on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #OLCBreneCourse! You can also share with a supportive friend or family member anything else that inspired you this week: a valuable phrase from the lesson, creative work from your journal, or an inspiration from your everyday life. (For tips on how to post a photo online, check out our FAQs.)

GET GOING

The kitchen has always been the heart of the house for my family, and I always know how well the family is doing by how much dancing, laughing and singing is going on in there. Dance in the kitchen, even if it's putting on a great song and tapping your toe, or doing one twirl across the floor sock-footed. It doesn't matter; just dance and have fun! Journal prompt: How did it feel?~~~~~~~Mastering the 7 Decisions from Andy Andrews

The Persistent Decision

7. I WILL PERSIST WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
I possess the greatest power ever bestowed upon mankind. I hold fast to my dreams. I stay the course. I do not quit.
I acknowledge that most people quit when exhaustion sets in, but I am not “most people.”
I am stronger than most people. Average people compare themselves with other people, and that is why they remain average.
I compare myself to my potential. I am not average. I see exhaustion as a precursor to victory. By persisting without exception, my outcome—my success—is assured.
It is my wish that you have gained something positive and productive from reading about these seven decisions.
I strongly believe that there is nothing you can’t do if you have the proper mindset and conviction.-Andy Andrews

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.

The Future Version of You is Better at Saying No And Emphatic With Saying
Yes.

“We all, who, with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord‘s glory, are being transformed into his image, with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18.

The end of the year is a great time for reflecting on all that has happened during the last 12 months. If your life is like mine, it is a mix of unexpected surprises, milestones crossed, a few disappointments, and swinging at some curveballs. In addition to what did or didn’t happen, think about what you did, or didn’t become… And whether that’s the version of you that you are aiming for.

I like to think of my past self as last year‘s model, and my next self as the new and refurbished version of me. I might look the same, but I have changed a ton since Bob versions one through four. Along the way, I made sure I was always preparing the way for the next version, too. I am still doing this. And you know what that next version always includes more of? Love.

If you are paving the way for the next version of yourself, you will never go wrong with adding more love to your heart and life. To do that, sometimes you need to make a little more space. Maybe you need to quit something. Sometimes being a quitter is exactly what we need, and the healthiest thing we can say, are these two words: “I quit.”

The next version of you is going to be amazing – the best one yet. To get there, you will have to dole out a lot of “nos” but there is only one yes, you need to be sure of. Say yes, to the kind of love Jesus lived and died talking about.

What is the next version of you going to be like?
