February 7 Your Mind & Heart

Affirmation: Be strong. Be courageous. Do everything in love.

Ponder & Personalize: This has already been a week. I have struggled memorizing this simple verse. The beautiful promise is just what I need. 
”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬https://bible.com/bible/111/isa.41.10.NIV

Your Mind and Heart Put Right

"You're blessed when you get your inside world - your mind and heart -put right. Then you can see God in the outside world."
MATTHEW 5:8 

Dilettantes shop for God as they would for a new pair of shoes. Their purposes vacillate, and their lives distracted. But simple intention is the way to comprehension and fellowship. "Purity of heart is to will one thing."


What distracts you from God?


I have a difficult time, God, silencing the competing voices, shutting outthe seductive images. I want you, but I want a lot of other things, too. "Put me together, one heart and mind; then, undivided, I'l worship injoyful fear" (Psalm 86:11). Amen.

Affirmation: I am grateful for this body, mind & soul. God made me. I have had times in my life that I questioned God’s existence, His goodness, His love. But my questions never changed the reality of His love for me and it won’t change the reality on your life either. He created you in your mother’s womb.
