Ponder: Read this verse over aloud about 5 times to begin memorizing it. Begin to personalize it. What is going on in your life circles that are causing fear or worry?

”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Why Not Dazzle God With Your Faith
Jesus said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well. Luke 7:9–10

The eighth miracle Jesus performed of his 37 miracles discussed in the Bible involved, a Centurion who had a servant who was paralyzed. Instead of waving his arms or shouting commands about what could be done about the situation, this Centurion simply told Jesus, “All you need to do is say the word and he’ll be healed.” That centurion had an amazing amount of faith. As a matter of fact, Jesus only said He was amazed two times in the Scriptures and this was one of those times. And with that, the Centurion went back to his house and found the servant healed.

Isn’t it terrific that faith could do that? Jesus had been doing and continues to do miracles in the world all the time. But we often overlook what He is doing because we don’t recognize, as the Centurion was able to, that Jesus has all the power needed to direct all the outcomes. It would take some real faith in the most challenging of circumstances you’re facing to declare, “You know what, God? All you would have to do is say the word.” But why not start doing just that today?

Do you have a strained relationship? Ask Jesus just to say the word. Is it a difficult job you are struggling with? Acknowledge that all Jesus needs to do is say the word. Is it haunting shame from the past that is dogging you? Ask Jesus to say the word.
So what will it be for you? What is it that you need to be trusting God for today? Where do you need to bring all your belief, even though everything inside of you would otherwise feel like you were asking for too much from God? Try replacing that thought with the desire to amaze Jesus one more time.

We are just one short statement away from getting there “Jesus, say the word.”
