April 18 WANT MORE FAITH? DO MORE STUFF.
“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:27)
Worry will discourage us to take even the smallest step. In many cases, it’s not that God’s unable to perform miracles rather it’s us who refuse to take that one small step needed to be the starting point for God’s miracle.~~~~~~~
Ponder, Personalize: Today we add verse 4. Think about the “darkest valley” or “valley of the shadow of death.” How have you experienced that valley? What does the Lord, our shepherd promise us as we go through that valley? How does the rod and staff bring comfort?
1“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley (or the valley of the shadow of death), I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:1-6 NIV

Today, I feel called to obey the message of Jesus by showing love to the less fortunate in society by sharing what I have with them. This reflects His teaching to love others, care for those in need, and give with a willing heart.
